Date Option 2: Sunday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m.
Meeting Point: We will specify meeting points a few days in advance of the scheduled outings, depending on sections of the ravine that would benefit most from the attention of our clean-up crews. Each outing will last about an hour, or until you’ve had enough.
For the Sunday clean-up, one group is meeting at Heath Crescent and will head towards the paved ravine entrance trail on Avoca Avenue across from Pleasant Boulevard. People coming from the west or south are welcome to meet at that same ravine entrance at about 10:30 a.m. You’re also welcome to make your own way into the ravine with garbage bag and maybe trash-grabber in hands. The main group will be working on the trail on the west side of Yellow Creek below Summerhill Gardens, and around the Mathersfield and Shaftesbury stairways, and then returning north on the east side of the creek.
Recommended Attire: solid shoes/boots, heavy duty work gloves, safety glasses, and maybe a trash grabber. We will supply garbage bags.
